Brooklyn Grange

Brooklyn Grange is the leading rooftop farming and intensive green roofing business in the US. The business operates the world’s largest soil rooftop farms, located on three roofs in New York City, and grows over 100,000 lbs of produce per year according to organic principles, and certified by the USDA’s Good Agricultural Practices, or GAPs, program. In addition to growing and distributing fresh local vegetables and herbs, Brooklyn Grange hosts events and educational programming; designs, installs, and often maintains green spaces for clients all over the tri-state area, and provides urban farming and green roof consulting services to clients worldwide. Brooklyn Grange provides several key ecosystem services, and partners with numerous non-profit and community service organizations throughout New York to promote healthy and strong local communities. Since the onset of Covid19, the farm has partnered with local Emergency Food Relief organizations to distribute thousands of pounds of food to those in need.
